Neurology Intensive Care Unit
Treatment for conditions affecting the brain requires special care. That’s why Grandview Medical Center has an intensive care unit designed specifically for patients who have severe neurological conditions, such as seizures or strokes. Patients requiring neurosurgery will prepare for surgery and recover in the neuro ICU.
The neuro intensive care team is trained in both basic and advanced cardiac life support and is dedicated to helping you manage your pain both during your stay and once you are discharged.
Visitation
We understand that family is a critical part of recovery. Because a high level of around-the clock-care is necessary during a patient’s stay in an intensive care unit, visitors are permitted to visit patients for 30 minutes at a time, four times a day.
Visitors are allowed* daily at:
- 8:30 a.m.
- 12:30 p.m.
- 4:30 p.m.
- 8:30 p.m.
*Please check with the nursing staff for any changes in visiting hours due to COVID 19 restrictions.
